Peter Rosenthal is the General Counsel for Downtown Music Holdings, a global company that owns, manages, and develops businesses with a vision for a more equitable and innovative music ecosystem. His legal career spans almost 25 years of structuring, negotiating, and documenting a wide array of corporate, commercial, and intellectual property agreements and transactions. As Downtown�s top lawyer, Peter oversees worldwide legal and business affairs for Downtown and its portfolio companies, Downtown Music Publishing, Songtrust�, Downtown Music Studios, and AVL Digital Group (which includes CD Baby�, AdRev� and DashGoSM) in connection with publishing, administration, license agreements, and other transactional matters; acquisitions; global policy; digital licensing strategy; enforcement; and corporate and finance matters. Prior to joining Downtown in 2018, Peter was a Partner with Ritholz Levy Fields LLP and previously held legal roles at Playboy.com, Inc., Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP, and Bingham, Dana & Gould. Peter is a graduate of Oberlin College and Boston University School of Law, where he served as an Editor of the Law Review.
