Americana-pop singer/songwriter Rae Isla is creating a new narrative for spirituality, especially in the LGBTQ+ community. Born on an island near Seattle, Rae splits her time between Brooklyn, Seattle and Mexico City. With a slew of successful singles and a self-produced EP landing her coverage in publications like Complex, Earmilk, and Popdust, a music video premiere in MTV Latin America, and headline shows at venues like Rough Trade and Mexico City’s iconic Departmento club, Rae Isla has carved a space for her genre-blending, ethereal songs.
Rae is set to release her debut album Another Life in Spring of 2021. The 10-song body of work was recorded in Brooklyn and Seattle, produced with Garrett Eaton (Holly Miranda, Gracie & Rachel).
Dubbed an "Artist to Watch" by The Deli and called "A Godsent" by Highlark Magazine, Rae Isla is set to be part of a new wave of indie female musicians whose careers are built on their own terms, and whose art is realized from within.
