Head of Industry Initiatives & Programs, Spotify
Ed leads Industry Initiatives & Programs for the Music team at Spotify where his team is responsible for the Music organization’s involvement in industry facing, cross-functional initiatives. In this role, Ed was an early advocate for NIVA, helping to drive advocacy with artists and other teams at Spotify. Prior to joining Spotify, at Apple he led the Consumer Marketing team for iTunes and launched Apple Music. Additionally, he spent time at Microsoft marketing the company’s mobile, search and entertainment products.

Faced with devastating shutdowns, venues and promoters all over the US came together to form the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) in March 2020. NIVA ran the massively successful "Save Our Stages" campaign, eventually securing the most extensive federal support package for the arts in history.
