Maria Egan joined Splice as Chief Music Officer in June 2020. Previously she served as President and Head of Creative at Pulse Music Group. Highlights of her accomplishments at Pulse included overseeing the expansion of the company from a small boutique in 2013 to become one of the most important independent publishers in music with an A-list roster of multi-genre songwriters -- including Ty Dolla $ign, Kehlani, James Blake, Starrah and Oz – collectively achieving more than 10 billion combined music streams, 100 million RIAA-certified units, 150 RIAA Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum song certifications, 50 BMI & ASCAP Song Awards, Two BMI Song of the Year Awards (“H.O.L.Y.” and “Despacito,” Ten Billboard Hot 100 Number Ones & AIMP “Indie Publisher of the Year" in 2018.
She was named to Billboard’s Women in Music in 2018 and 2019 and was selected as one of their “40 Under 40” executives in 2017. Egan was named to the Los Angeles Chapter Board of the Recording Academy in 2019.
