Cristina Novo
CEO, Artistry & Records
Cristina Novo is one of the top Latin Music Publicists in the US. She began her career working in the entertainment industry in companies like Telemundo (2002-2004) and The Girls Entertainment Management in New York (2004-2009) before transitioning to Universal Music Group, which gave her the opportunity not only to pursue her dream career, but to learn and grow as a music professional.
She went from doing marketing for UMG’s Motown Records, to Republic Records’ publicity department in 2011, where she quickly immersed herself within the label's fast-paced framework and projects. She has handled tour press and Latin press for worldwide superstars and Grammy Award-winners such as Lil Wayne, Drake and Kelly Rowland as well as DJ Khaled, Tyga, The Weeknd, and more.
Moreover, she sought out sponsorship opportunities to supplement crucial label events for The Grammy Awards, Super Bowl, MTV VMAs, and more.
In 2013 Cris founded her own Public Relations agency Artistry & Records, with the main purpose of using her abilities and connections to push new and established artists focusing on publicity, streaming and consulting. From pitching to devising and executing immersive campaigns, Cris continues building long-standing relationships and creating a name within the music industry as one of the most efficient and trusted publicists.
Her expertise has translated into the Latin music space, garnering the trust of artists that are shaping this new era of Latin urban music like Nicky Jam, Anuel AA, Dalex, Lenny Tavárez and Nio Garcia, just to mention a few. She even A&R’ed Post Malone’s “Rockstar” Latin remix featuring Nicky Jam and Ozuna after being at a Latin club and seeing how people went crazy when the original song came on.
Currently, Cris continues expanding her company and growing her client roster — featuring the aforementioned stars — while also being a full-time mom to her baby Matteo.
