New York City based, Ellen Mangan is a music marketing professional with experience from Columbia Records, Arista Records, PledgeMusic and Verifi Media. Over her career, Ellen has varied experience from leading JP Saxe’s Grammy nominated campaign for “If The World Was Ending,” to driving the single highest grossing storefront for PledgeMusic, to assisting on the marketing for Hozier’s multi-platinum debut album and Barbra Streisand’s number one album Encores, to running a metadata management summit in Paris. Ellen studied harp performance with a business emphasis at DePauw University and she continues to perform with the Jackson Heights Orchestra. She’s a member of the B.A.K. Playground, Mama’s in Music, Women in Music, the Music Business Association's Education Committee and has mentored for A2IM, B.A.K. and Big Brother Big Sister.

This panel will look at current trends in the changing listening habits of fans and the impact this has on the music industry. It will explore the future of artist-fan relationships, the “attention economy,” monetization of fandom over consumption and the importance of short-form videos in artist discovery.
