Kate Urcioli

Co-Founder & Managing Director, Heavy Duty Projects

Kate Urcioli is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Heavy Duty Projects, a music house, notably recognized for dynamic work across ads, trailers, film/TV, and video games. Kate is an industry leader with 15 years of sync and licensing experience. At Heavy Duty Projects, she has contributed to the soundtracks of some of the most notable blue-chip campaigns in the industry, most recently Gatorade's touching tribute to Serena Williams, Johnnie Walker's Clio and AMP winning 2022 Global Campaign.

Kate's career has touched all sectors of sync, starting out in film/TV at the Chop Shop, followed by the sync departments of Warner Music Group and Nettwerk Music Group. As an in-house music producer at mcgarrybowen (now Dentsu), Kate developed a love for the collaborative and creative process behind creating custom music for brands, and in 2015 teamed up with 3x Grammy Winning Producer Ariel Rechtshaid and industry veteran Joshua Kessler to launch Heavy Duty Projects, a sibling company to Heavy Duty Publishing.

In addition to brand work, Heavy Duty Projects has a dedicated trailer division, music supervises across all media, and represents composers for film/TV (Ariel Rechtshaid/Gossip Girl, Amanda Yamate, Do Revenge).
