
ABOUT
Elis Lovrić is an award-winning Croatian singer-songwriter and actress from Istria, Croatia. Her distinctive artistic expression combines powerful vocals, acoustic guitar, theatre, contemporary production, and the Labin Cakavian dialect. She speaks five languages and performs in ten, connecting her Istrian heritage with international audiences.
Following leading roles in Croatian and Italian theatres and international musical productions, Elis wrote and produced her original musical Kolarići for the Istrian National Theatre in Pula. Her acclaimed projects include Kanat od mora, Dva mora, and her debut album Merika. She has also appeared at Dora and the Zagreb Festival.
Named an ambassador of the Labin Cakavian dialect by the City of Labin, Elis is dedicated to preserving and presenting this protected element of Croatian intangible cultural heritage through contemporary music.
She is a two-time recipient of support from the EU-funded BELEM project. Her lyrics have been translated into 99 languages and made available through international platforms including LyricFind and Deezer.
Elis has performed in Croatia, Italy, Brazil, Japan, and Canada. Her concerts uniquely combine music, acting, humour, improvisation, and direct interaction with the audience.
She is currently promoting her double-vinyl album Moja Merika, accompanied by the innovative InConcert Lyrics format, which provides real-time multilingual song translations during live performances.
