ABOUT THE WINNER
An adventurous composer, vocalist and sound artist, Lucy Liyou creates deeply personal, genre-defying music that challenges conventional boundaries. Drawing on Korean musical traditions, experimental electronics, ambient textures, classical piano and spoken word, her compositions blend intimate storytelling with striking sonic innovation. Her critically acclaimed albums Dog Dreams, Every Video Without Your Face, Every Sound Without Your Name and 2026's MR COBRA explore identity, memory, vulnerability and human connection through an extraordinarily original artistic lens. Recognized by Pitchfork, The Guardian and other influential critics, Lucy represents the uncompromising creative vision and fearless experimentation that Mondo's Artistry Award celebrates.
