
ABOUT
Amina McClain is a Senior Associate at Jacobs Law Group, P.C. in New York, bringing more than 12 years in the music business, including six as a licensed attorney, to her practice. As part of Amina’s transactional entertainment practice, she takes a client-first approach when advising artists, producers, and songwriters, from emerging talent to Grammy Award winners, on matters including brand partnerships, touring and performance, and publishing and recording agreements. Before law school, Amina worked in licensing at Universal Music Publishing Group and Universal Music Group in Los Angeles, giving her firsthand insight into the business side of the deals she now negotiates. She is licensed to practice law in the State of New York, earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and received her Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans. Amina is a former board member of the Corporate Work Study Program at Cristo Rey, an East Harlem high school whose students gain professional work experience to help fund their education.
