Andrea Da Silva serves as a Senior Trade Policy Analyst and Global Team Leader for Media & Entertainment Industries at the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington, DC. With a team of 250 trade specialists based across 70 embassies and 100 U.S. Export Assistance Centers, she implements worldwide projects to advance the export and licensing potential of the U.S. creative and innovation economy. Andrea is an entertainment and music industry expert who offers in-depth market research, (copyright and digital) policy analysis, free trade agreement assessments, and dynamic trade promotion activities for clients. She is the author of the first ever ‘Top Markets for Media & Entertainment Industries,’ an export and licensing guide for the creative economy for which she won high distinctions at the Department, and has worked on digital trade and e-commerce policy, covering every continent. She managed the first ever U.S. government export project with the music industry and A2IM. Andrea was raised in Norway, has an MBA in International Business and an MA in International Development, and sits on the Board of several U.S. and international organizations as an adviser on U.S. trade policy and entertainment industry trends.
