Darius Van Arman

CEO, Secretly Distribution

Darius Van Arman is CEO of Secretly Distribution, Co-CEO of Secretly Group and Secretly Publishing, and Co-owner of Merge Records, The Numero Group and All Flowers Group (Ghostly International and dsw).
The Secretly companies partner with and facilitate storytelling for a diverse group of artists, including Mitski, Phoebe Bridgers, Bon Iver, Japanese Breakfast, Neutral Milk Hotel, Ginger Root, Faye Webster, Pastor T.L. Barrett, Destroyer, Angel Olsen, Slowdive, Khruangbin, Syl Johnson and Sharon Van Etten to name a few.

Darius also serves on various boards, including Merlin (as Chairperson) and SoundExchange. In 2014, he testified about music licensing reform in front of U.S. Congress, and he co-authored the Worldwide Independent Network’s Fair Digital Deals Declaration.

Darius resides in Brooklyn with his partner Jessie and his son Avery.
