Michelle Ryang

Michelle Ryang is Senior Vice President and head of A&R Administration & Operations for U.S. Labels at Sony Music Entertainment. She’s been with Sony since 2008, starting as head of A&R Administration for RCA Records after six years at EMI.
Michelle focuses on the logistics behind the recording and release process — overseeing everything from how sessions are scheduled, and budgets are managed, to how music is delivered and prepared for release. She’s known for improving systems and workflows that help labels run more smoothly behind the scenes.
She’s also passionate about mentoring and developing talent, and takes pride in building strong, collaborative teams. Michelle is a graduate of Barnard College and currently serves on the Board of SoundExchange.
