Montana Miller

Manager of Government Affairs, The Recording Academy

Montana Miller is the Manager of Government Affairs at the Recording Academy, the organization best known for the GRAMMY Awards. In her role, she advocates for legislation that supports music creators at both the federal and state level. Her work spans a wide range of issues, with key areas including protecting creative expression, advancing ticketing reform, pursuing fair compensation for artists, and safeguarding artists' rights in the age of AI. Since joining the Academy four years ago, Montana has played a key role in building up its grassroots advocacy efforts, helping engage thousands of Academy members in year-round advocacy initiatives. Prior to joining the Academy, she served as Deputy Director of Scheduling for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. A Sacramento native, Montana holds a B.A. from the University of Washington and is deeply committed to championing the rights and interests of individuals within the music industry.
