ABOUT

Fabrice "Fab" Dupont is a songwriter, producer, and mixer whose work moves easily between genres that rarely share a room. His credits span Pop, Latin, Jazz, World and Independent music, and his fingerprints are on some of the most celebrated records of recent years, including Bad Bunny's DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, winner of the Latin Grammy and the Grammy for Album of the Year, André 3000's genre-defying New Blue Sun, and Snarky Puppy's Empire Central. Over his career he has worked with artists as varied as Jennifer Lopez, David Crosby, Gregory Porter, Lolo Zouai, and Adore.

Fab is the owner of Flux Studios in New York's East Village, a set of rooms built around the idea that great technology should disappear so creative work can happen. Flux has become a home for artists, producers, and engineers who want a world-class environment without the formality of a traditional commercial studio. He continues to evolve the space, integrating modern networked audio, automation, and video capture so it can serve both recording sessions and the content that increasingly surrounds them.

Alongside his studio work, Fab is a builder of companies. He is the founder and CEO of Puremix, one of the world's leading audio education platforms. For sixteen years, Puremix has given its community of more than 280,000 members a seat next to the engineers who shaped modern records, with mentors including Andrew Scheps, Michael Brauer, and Chris Lord-Alge. The platform grew out of a simple conviction: the best way to learn to make records is to watch great people make them, in real sessions, with real stakes. Fab is also founder and CEO of mixup.media and process.audio, ventures that extend his interest in how music is made and shared.

Fab's perspective is shaped by a life lived across cultures. Raised with deep roots in France and fluent in its language and sensibility, he splits his time between New York, Paris and Los Angeles with stints in San Juan and Mexico. That trans-national outlook shows up in his work: a Old World attention to craft and detail paired with a New World appetite for scale and reinvention. It also helps explain his comfort in multilingual, cross-genre projects, where understanding the culture behind the music matters as much as understanding the signal chain.

Whether he is behind the console, building a platform, or tutoring the next generation of engineers, Fab's through-line is the same: make the music better, make the tools serve the process, and make knowledge accessible to anyone willing to put in the hours. He remains as curious about a new plugin or a young artist's demo as he was on his first session, and that curiosity continues to drive everything he builds.
