ABOUT

Judy Tint is a New York-based attorney, professor, and musician with over 30 years of experience representing artists, songwriters, producers, industry executives, and more, from unknowns to legends. A graduate of Columbia Law School and Rutgers College, she is also a Clinical Associate Professor in the NYU Music Business Program, where she teaches a mix of undergraduate and graduate courses. She is a Voting Member of The Recording Academy and served for twelve years as a Governor and Officer of The Academy's New York Chapter. Judy is a graduate of Leadership Music, a past Chair of the ABA Forum on Entertainment and Sports Industries, and a longtime Board member of the Rhythm & Blues Foundation and WhyHunger. Since 2024, she has been honored to serve as a lead instructor of the American Music Mentorship Program, a partnership between The Recording Academy and the US State Department. Judy is a frequent speaker at industry conferences nationwide, and travels regularly to Capitol Hill to advocate for artists’ rights. She has served as a consultant and producer in connection with numerous entertainment projects and has devoted her time and energy to a variety of benefits and other charitable causes, including MusiCares, UNICEF, The Nordoff-Robbins Foundation for Music Therapy, The Starlight Foundation, America’s Second Harvest, The Foodbank for New York City, The Oregon Foodbank, and The Community Foodbank of New Jersey.

Judy is also a singer, percussionist, and songwriter. She has recorded with artists across multiple genres, and has performed at Carnegie Hall, The Ryman Auditorium, Radio City Music Hall, the Waterfront Blues Festival, London’s Rewind Festival, and on Broadway, as well as appearing on “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” and on multiple PBS specials. She is a firm believer in the power of music to change the world. #havetambourinewilltravel
