Mandy Hoffman

Guided by her passion for storytelling and visual art, Mandy Hoffman found her musical niche in composing to picture. She is known for her broad stylistic range, unique voice, and thoughtfully nuanced scores that strongly support both story and vision.

Her award-winning work on films, series, documentaries, commercials, and art installations have appeared in theaters, networks, top film festivals and prestigious art galleries all over the world. Concert music is also part of her repertoire, with live orchestral events held at Lincoln Center in New York and The Wilshire Theater in Los Angeles.

Her scores for THE LOVERS (A24) and HALA (Apple TV+) received ample praise from top film critics, and Film Music Magazine called her score for THE LOVERS "A stealth contender for one of the finest film music of the century this far." Her music appears on many TV shows, including underscoring Joey Soloway’s I LOVE DICK (Amazon), DOLL & EM (HBO), and the Anna Kendrick-led Emmy-nominated DUMMY (Roku). The 2024 POV short documentary UNTIL HE'S BACK won a SIMA award, was nominated for an IDA, won multiple top film festival prizes, and was shortlisted for the Academy Awards. RUN AMOK (Tandem Pictures) premiered at Sundance 2026 and will appear in theaters in early 2027.

Hoffman is an active member of the music and filmmaking communities, often sitting on panels and leading workshops. She is a member of The Academy of Motion Pictures and the Television Academy and is a board member at the Alliance for Women Film Composers. Hoffman lives in New York City and is an adjunct at NYU’s Screen Scoring program.
