Maya Ackerman

Dr. Maya Ackerman, PhD. is an award-winning Artificial Intelligence expert, named "2020 Woman of influence” by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. Ackerman is the CEO/Co-founder of WaveAI, which created the world’s most advanced generative lyrics assistant, LyricStudio. Her research has earned awards from the Association for Computational Creativity, US Office of Naval Research, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and many more. A sought-after speaker, Dr. Ackerman had been an invited speaker at the United Nations, Google, IBM Research and Stanford University, amongst other prestigious venues. She earned her PhD from the University of Waterloo, held postdoctoral fellowships at Caltech and UC San Diego, is a Computer Science and Engineering Professor at Santa Clara University, and an Associate Editor of the Journal of Computational Creativity.
