ABOUT
Sebastian Adé is a Brooklyn-based artist, music supervisor, and creative producer with a curiosity that tends to send him across disciplines. At Found Objects, he works with artists, composers, agencies, and filmmakers to find and make music for stories, with recent projects spanning BACARDÍ, Visa, AT&T, and Modelo.
His path to music supervision has been anything but linear, winding through advertising, cultural programming, production, and the internet, with stops at Heavy Duty Projects, Ogilvy, The Webby Awards, and Jayaram Law along the way. He’s also a recording artist and songwriter, with music featured by TIME, BBC Radio 1, Triple J, and others.
Lately, Sebastian has been teaching himself guitar, rebuilding his corner of the internet, and working his way through every Black filmmaker represented in the Criterion Collection, mostly because he wanted to know what he didn’t know. Across all of it, he’s interested in the same basic question: what makes an idea, image, or piece of music actually stick with us?
