Spencer Ludwig is the Founder and Executive Creative Producer of Trumpet Records, a Latin Grammy-winning songwriter, producer, musician, and creative executive whose career spans recorded music, advertising, sync, and live performance.
Spencer began his career as the original trumpeter for multi-platinum band Capital Cities, touring the world before launching a solo career with Warner Records. His debut single “Diggy” became the centerpiece of a global Target campaign, and in 2019 he earned a Latin Grammy for his work as a songwriter and performer on Fonseca’s album Agustín.
In 2018, Spencer founded Trumpet Records, a full-service music company specializing in sync licensing, bespoke composition, publishing, artist collaborations, covers, and remixes. Built around a global community of artists, songwriters, producers, composers, labels, publishers, and management companies, Trumpet Records maintains a curated catalog of over 20,000 songs and represents and collaborates with a roster that includes Steve Aoki, Megan Thee Stallion, Empire of the Sun, The Kooks, Duckwrth, Capital Cities and Concord Music Publishing.
Under Spencer’s leadership, Trumpet Records has secured hundreds of placements across advertising, television, and film while creating bespoke original music for major global brands and media companies. Spencer works closely with agencies, brands, music supervisors, and creatives from initial brief and creative direction through composition and final production.
His songwriting, production, and performance credits include collaborations with Harry Styles, Snoop Dogg, Travis Scott, Dua Lipa, Sofia Reyes, Jackson Wang, Aloe Blacc, Big Boi, The Knocks, Fitz and the Tantrums, Jaded, and Capital Cities. As a performer, his career has taken him to stages including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
