Project Manager and A&R, Sacred Bones Records
Carrie Schaff is a project manager and A&R executive at Sacred Bones Records. Sacred Bones is an independent record label and publishing company based in Brooklyn, NY that started over 10 years ago in the basement of a record store. They have spent the last decade crafting a critically respected label that is synonymous with forward-thinking music and culture. With nearly 300 releases under their belt they�ve had the distinct pleasure to work with legendary artists the likes of Patti Smith, Trent Reznor, and Genesis P-Orridge, as well as fostered the respective solo musical careers of film directors David Lynch, John Carpenter, and Jim Jarmusch. They�ve also released career-defining albums by newer artists like Zola Jesus, Marissa Nadler, Amen Dunes, and Jenny Hval. Carrie has a decade of experience working in the music industry with a varied resume working in music venues, record stores, and record labels in addition to playing in touring bands. This well rounded knowledge of the industry informs the way she does A&R along with her inclusionary politics and vast network of collaborators.
