Jamie Bendell
Music Therapist, Singer-Songwriter & Chairwoman, Big Block
Jamie Bendell (MT-BC) is a board-certified music therapist and singer-songwriter with over a decade of experience in the music and entertainment industries. She received her master�s degree in music therapy from New York University and holds her bachelor�s degree in business administration from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to working as a music therapist, Jamie is a chairwoman and partner at Big Block Media Holdings, a women-owned, award-winning creative studio based in Los Angeles and New York City. During her time at Big Block, Jamie has helmed the entertainment division, investing in and developing commercial musicals aiming for the Broadway stage. At their core, all of the theatrical projects Big Block has been involved with embrace music in order to deepen audiences� emotional, physical, and social connections to the stories being told on stage. Broadway and Off-Broadway credits include Heather�s The Musical, A Gentleman�s Guide to Love & Murder, Hundred Days, One Day, and Heartbreak Hotel. Jamie spends a significant amount of time volunteering with the Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy through her involvement as a member of the board and development team of their non-profit arm, the Nordoff-Robbins Foundation. The Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy is located on the campus of New York University in New York City.
