Vice President, Music Services & Licensing, VICE Media

Ricki Askin is the Vice President of Music Services and Licensing for VICE Media, overseeing global rights and clearances for the youth media company as well as their in-house library, Vice Music Publishing. Within the realm of global rights and clearances sits music supervision and archival producing and licensing across the company�s vast portfolio of digital sites, global VICELAND television network, VICE�s Emmy award winning news arm, their in-house creative agency and VICE Films. Ricki was the Music Supervisor of the Emmy Award winning HBO news-magazine series �VICE,� which recently finished its 6th season. She also recently music supervised the much buzzed about documentary �Fyre: The Greatest Party that Never Happened� (Netflix) and the Emmy nominated VICELAND series �Gaycation� and �Woman with Gloria Steinem� as well as VICE Films� critically acclaimed 2013 feature documentary, �Reincarnated,� starring legendary hip-hop and entertainment icon Snoop Dogg. Outside of VICE, Ricki recently music supervised the Showtime sports documentary, �100%� on 2019 NFL MVP Julian Edelman as well as the independent film �EGG,� which hit theaters January 2019 starring Alysia Reiner (�Orange is the New Black�) and Christina Hendricks (�Mad Men�). Prior to joining the VICE family in early 2011, Ricki served as a Music Supervisor within MTV�s News & Docs Department, contributing to popular shows like �Cribs,� �True Life,� �My Super Sweet 16� and �My Life as Liz.� Ricki graduated From Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania with a Major in Communication and a Minor in English.
