I've been doing show promotions for about 18 years now. Everything from small DIY and club shows to large crowds of 20,000+. My wife Jessie and I are currently partners and co-operators of Wave (569 indoor cap, 4,000 outdoor cap), co-owners of The Cotillion (2,000 cap), book talent for the Wichita Riverfestival (average annual concert attendance over 100,000) and manage Naftzger Park (1,000 cap city owned park opened March11, 2020). I'm also Co-Chair of the NIVA Advocacy Committee, and work within various other NIVA committees.

Six months into the COVID-19 crisis there is no timeline for when the music will start to play again. Faced with the threat of extinction, independent venues have come together, launching NIVA and rallying behind the #SaveOurStages campaign that, so far, has generated over 2 million letters of support to Congress. Meet the community members and leaders that make the backbone of our music ecosystem as they describe the state of affairs, their coming together, and what's next in their fight for survival.
