Anika Amin is Vice President of M&A Legal Affairs at Create Music Group, where she serves as the head of all legal matters for acquisitions. She built and now leads the legal function for the company’s acquisitions team, overseeing multimillion-dollar catalog acquisitions that span master recordings, publishing, and other music-related assets.
Create Music Group is one of the fastest-growing music and entertainment companies, specializing in distribution, publishing, rights management, and digital monetization for artists and rights holders. The company has been an active in acquiring significant catalogs and rights portfolios to expand its global footprint and maximize opportunities in the streaming economy. Anika’s leadership has been central to shaping the legal framework that supports Create’s acquisition strategy and long-term growth.
Prior to joining Create Music Group, Anika was counsel for content acquisitions at NBCUniversal. There, she negotiated high-value licensing agreements for both Peacock and NBCU’s linear networks. Anika’s earlier practice at Latham & Watkins LLP included advising on major music catalog acquisitions.
Anika began her legal career in Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP’s Transactional Finance Group, advising institutional lenders and private equity borrowers on structured financings across industries.
Anika is a graduate of Wesleyan University, and received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she served as Production Editor of the UCLA Law Review and Staff Editor of the Entertainment Law Review.
