Emily Lanza is Counsel for Policy & International Affairs at the U.S. Copyright Office. Prior to joining the Office, she served as a legislative attorney at the Congressional Research Service, where she handled intellectual property legislative matters for Congress. She received a JD from Georgetown University Law Center, a MPhil in Archaeological Heritage from the University of Cambridge, and a BA in Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to her legal career, she held several curatorial and public service positions at libraries and museums in the United States and the United Kingdom.
