Linda Bloss-Baum

Vice President of Government Relations and Public Affairs, SoundExchange

Linda Bloss-Baum has a deep understanding of how public policy is shaped by legislative, legal, regulatory, public relations, and industry forces in Washington, D.C. She is currently the Vice President of Government Relations and Public Affairs at SoundExchange. She began her career in the tech industry at the Business Software Alliance. She went on to serve as Counsel to the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Capitol Hill, concentrating on telecommunications and technology issues. Linda has represented the interests of several leading content companies in Washington, D.C., including Time Warner, Inc., Warner Music Group, and NBC Universal/Universal Music Group. Linda has gained expertise in the challenges facing content creators in the ever-changing digital marketplace. Linda has taught as an Adjunct Faculty Member at American University, her undergraduate alma mater, since 2013, where she teaches a course on the creative economy. Linda earned her J.D. at the Catholic University School of Law, along with a certificate of specialization in Communications and Technology Law. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Gospel Music Association. Linda lives in Northern VA with her husband, Richard, and their two children.
