Maria is a director in Citrin Cooperman's Business Management and Family Office Practice with over 15 years of accounting experience. She offers a full range of advisory and tax compliance to both individuals and corporations in the arts, music, and entertainment industries. Maria works closely with a variety of clients in these industries, including musicians, actors, directors, record producers, screenwriters, songwriters, music publishers, dance companies, DJs, record labels, digital services providers, production companies, models, antique dealers, art collectors, and art galleries.

Maria specializes in tour accounting, tour budgeting, business management, international corporate taxation, wealth preservation, accounting complexities associated with art dealers and collectors, tax planning and consulting to high-net-worth individuals, private foundations, and not- for-profits. She also has extensive expertise in tax treaties, U.S. withholding strategies for non-U.S. Resident individuals, and processing Central Withholding Agreements (CWAs) with the Internal Revenue Service on behalf of some of the world’s most renowned foreign entertainers and athletes. Maria is fluent in Spanish and has provided advisory services to foreign nationals and U.S. Citizens living abroad.

Maria earned her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Economics from Queens College of the City University of New York. She is currently enrolled for her MBA at NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and has completed the New York University, NYU TISCH School of the Arts – The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music - Music Industry Essentials Program. In 2021, she was recognized as a Billboard "Top Business Manager."

Maria is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Metropolitan Museum of Art (the MET), Spain-United States Chamber of Commerce, New York Women in Film & Television, Women in Music, American Association of Independent Music, Whitney Museum of Art, and the past treasurer of Powerhouse Condominium Board Member.

Maria has served as a lecturer and noted speaker for numerous panels, including New York State Bar Association – Entertainment Arts & Sports Law Section NYSBA EASL, CMJ Music Festival & Conference, Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC), BIME PRO, and other educational forums.
