As Sr. Director of Creative at Sony Music Publishing (SMP), Omar Grant works with some of the top songwriters and producers in the world. In this position, Grant is responsible for advancing the careers of SMP’s extensive roster of talent while also fostering the development of the next generation of music superstars.

Before joining SMP, Grant worked at BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.), where he played a pivotal role in the company’s R&B/Hip-Hop division, cultivating the careers of many artists, songwriters and producers; and signing notable award-winning affiliates. He was also responsible for spearheading signature BMI programs “How I Wrote That Song®,” “Songwriters Social Club,” and the “Know Them Now” showcase.

Grant previously held the title of Director of Music Matters at BET Networks, responsible for scouting talent, managing live events, and executing new marketing strategies and releases.
