Sulene van der Walt is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer and songwriter from Cape Town, South Africa. Her work as an artist has gained recognition from publications such as Rolling Stone, Billboard and The Village Voice. Sulene has written music for the series Ray Donovan and her voice and guitar playing has been featured on the scores for The Affair, Extant, The Humbling and many more. Composing for several music houses, she has written music for commercial clients including Apple, Taco Bell, Nike, Pandora Jewelry, Comcast, Verizon and many more. In 2021 she was featured on and co-wrote the song Halfhearted by Grammy Award-winning artist RAC, which was released in 2021 on his EP “YOU.”

As a performer, Sulene is known as the guitarist for Nate Ruess (of the band fun.), and has played live at The White House, Fuji Rock, Austin City Limits festival, Outside Lands festival, Gillette Stadium, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Late Night with Seth Meyers and more. She contributed motion capture for the female bassist/guitarist character in Rock Band VR.
