Dan Hoffman
Executive Vice President Business & Legal Affairs, Concord
Dan Hoffman is Executive Vice President Business & Legal Affairs for Concord. He is primarily responsible for legal matters related to M&A transactions for Concord and has handled many matters across a broad range of intellectual property deals in recent years. He is a member of IFPI's International Legal Committee as well as various music industry groups.
Prior to Concord, he held senior executive positions for independent companies Razor & Tie and Tommy Boy, served as General Counsel for BMG Music and head of Business Affairs and Legal for RCA Records, and was a partner at Ziffren Brittenham Branca et al and an associate at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp.
Dan is a graduate of NYU School of Law, Oberlin College and the Dalton School.

The music acquisitions landscape has changed as increasing numbers of investors look beyond traditional “core” catalog assets and focus on areas where there is less competition, a wealth of untapped opportunities, and more advantageous pricing. The include targets such as management companies, YouTube income streams, film/TV/video game music, sub-$10 million transactions, and more. This panel will discuss the challenges and opportunities in these deals.
