Marc Emert-Hutner is ASCAP's Vice President of Membership, Pop/Rock. He is a seasoned music industry professional with extensive experience in membership leadership at ASCAP, where his role involves the recruitment and retention of songwriters and publishers, as well as nurturing songwriters’ careers and helping create opportunities for them in the industry. Prior to this role, Marc was active as a singer, guitarist, songwriter, producer and performer with the bands Pleasure Club and Bicycle Thief. He continues to perform with Sugartooth, a group that he’s been in since 1992. Marc holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Baruch.
