After stints on British TV, presenting music programs on E4 Music and Channel 4, Russ quickly established himself as one of the most respected tastemakers in London’s live music scene when he joined VICE to oversee curation of their events at their flagship venue, The Old Blue Last. Later, as an artist manager, he represented artists including Peace and Superfood.
In 2014, Russ helped launch DICE. As a founding employee, he led the music team, landing deals with Apple Music, Red Bull and Goldenvoice. In 2018, Russ became Managing Director, signing major venue deals with UK institutions Troxy, Scala and The Underworld, before being promoted to Chief Revenue Officer in 2019. Within the space of a year Russ oversaw DICE's global expansion and led the growth of DICE's revenue streams, all while securing major international partnerships including Primavera Sound.
Russ was instrumental in the success of DICE's live streaming offering which, since launching in April 2020, has powered over 6,000 live streams and partnered exclusively with global artists including Lewis Capaldi, Laura Marling and Nick Cave. Russ was promoted to President in 2021 and relocated to New York to set up DICE's second HQ. In the space of just a few months, Russ has signed some of the best independent NYC venues and promoters deals, including Avant Gardner, Brooklyn Made, Elsewhere, United Palace and Saint Vitus.
He is a competitive ultra-marathon runner.
