Director of Music, VICE

Charlotte von Kotze is Director of Music at VICE. She handles music supervision for the Production studio VICE + as well as the licensing needs of VIRTUE, an internal VICE MEDIA commercial agency. Recent notable clients include Marc Jacobs, MAC, Nike, Lululemon, Bose, Airbnb, Delta, Park MGM, Weedmaps, Urban Decay,Google, or Bushmills. Awards she won include two Women in Music Awards as well as a Gold Telly Award, a Yellow D&AD pencil Award, a Silver Medal at the Clio�s gold, a ADCN Award with the team of the A-Z Of Music. Other parallel projects she previously music supervised include A24 x HBO�s critically acclaimed TV show �Random Acts of Flyness� directed by Terence Nance (2018). Prior to joining the VICE family in July 2014, Charlotte worked for the French Music Export Office in New York and for renown music & experiential agency Giant Step featuring artists like Q-Tip, Gilles Peterson, Santigold, Diplo, and Empire of the Sun. A music lover at heart, her international background has naturally inspired her to collect and dig for eclectic music. She has a bi-monthly radio show on The Lot Radio in New York called �Brooklyn English,� featuring traditional and contemporary from around the world and often blends these influences in DJ sets at various New York venues and at record fairs.
