Peach Luffe is a Canadian indie dreampop project founded by Jong Lee. At an early age, Jong moved from South Korea to the US where he grew up on guitar singer-songwriters like Jimi Hendrix, SRV, John Mayer. He made his first songs on a cheap Epiphone guitar and was lead guitarist in his indie rock band, Sweet Apollo. After graduating with a degree in violin, Jong decided he wanted to focus his time on songwriting and singing instead. In late 2017, he moved to Toronto, Canada to pursue music.
In Toronto, Peach Luffe evolved from a solo project to a quartet, developing a sweet, mellow sound influenced by jazz, rock, classical, and neo-soul. From having a classically trained violinist, metal band drummer, and rock shredder, Peach Luffe creates songs reminiscent of Coldplay, and Mac Demarco. As for the name, Peach is because Jong likes peaches, and Luffe is because he admires Luffy from One Piece because he is so free and happy-go-lucky.
