Funk Shui is a band and a music collective formed and based in Skopje, North Macedonia. Having embarked on their own paths, the members have found their safe-space under the umbrella that is Funk Shui. By being able to escape the conformity of their own sound the band was able to remain dynamic over the course of their ten-year career. Having released two albums, the debut "Aether" in 2012 and "R.E.M." in 2015, as well as the EP "Impuls" in 2018, the band positioned itself as a strong voice on the contemporary music scene in the Balkans. By being willing to reinvent themselves, the sound of the group was able to touch on multiple genres, from the depths of alternative and indie rock to funky rhythms and characteristic root-based harmonies.
