Noir Col was born in 2008 in the province of Cosenza from an idea of ​​Alessandro and Marcostefano Gallo, composer and author of the band respectively. The first steps see Noir Col perform as an acoustic trio throughout Calabria, then between 2009 and 2010 they focused on their songs, recording several tracks in the studio: the single "Virare Verso Sud" was born in 2010 and in 2011 came the EP "Love In Italics," both published by Pirames International. After years of concerts, in 2016 the CD "Virare Verso Sud" was released, 11 tracks with the best of Noir Col production. Subsequently, Noir Col presented the album at the international book fair in Turin and to kick off their European tour in Darmstadt, Germany and on October 18, 2017 at Dom Polonii in Krakow. On June 30, 2017 the video clip of the single "Virare Verso Sud" was released, shot by Giacomo Triglia (Ligabue, Brunori Sas, Francesca Michielin, etc.).

2018 featured many concerts, certainly the most exciting in Berlin on February 17th!

In the autumn of the same year, Noir Col returned to the studio for the first volume of the new album "The Theory of the First Step," published by Bix Music! and released on January 17, 2019. The album consists of two volumes, each presenting a thematic and stylistic coherence under a single general theme.

On 5 December 2019 the Noir Col had the honor of being selected by the Tenco Club for the Tenco Listen held in Cosenza within the prestigious "Musica contro le mafia" review.

On December 10th their new single "Solo Una Stella" was released, published by Bix Music. On April 21, after an intense radio tour, the second volume of "The Theory of the First Step" was released, a work focused on telling, through music and words, the decisive moments that characterize the life of each of us, when you decide to take the first step.

In the autumn of 2020 a new artistic project began, in collaboration with the illustrator Martina Gentile, to give life to four video clips. Each is characterized by the power of images and music, together a new journey for a new beginning.
