FABUALE is a project by Duo Doronzo | Minafra, an artistic and musical research initiative focused on the poetic and performative exploration of the deep connection between nature and music. Born from the encounter between the evocative lyricism of trumpeter and flugelhornist Dario Savino Doronzo and the visionary energy of pianist and composer Livio Minafra, the duo has developed a unique sound language that reflects and transforms the natural environment into an acoustic landscape, an ongoing dialogue among perception, memory and imagination.

From a formal perspective, the project weaves together chamber music, contemporary jazz, rock influences, Eastern sonorities and classical roots, creating a performative flow rich in timbral nuances and dynamic tension.

The performance by Duo Doronzo | Minafra takes shape as an immersive and synesthetic experience, capable of communicating with the audience through sound, gesture and deep listening. It goes beyond the aesthetic dimension, presenting itself as a reflective and poetic act on the relationship between humans and the environment, generating soundscapes that echo the unpredictability of nature itself, a delicate yet urgent invitation to listen to the earth with the ears of the heart.

The duo has performed in numerous concerts for prestigious musical institutions in Italy and abroad, including: Carnegie Hall in New York, the International Trumpet Guild in San Antonio, Kailash Mital Theatre in Ottawa, Studio Acusticum | Piteå Concert Hall (Sweden), Klap Op De Vuurpijl Theatre in Amsterdam, Museu Nacional da Música in Lisbon, Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, The JazzLab in Melbourne, Brisbane Jazz Club, Festival Jazz au Chellah in Rabat (Morocco), Amphithéâtre de l’Opéra de Lyon, JazzPromenade in Yokohama, the Assembleia Legislativa and Museu de Arte Contemporânea (MUDAS) in Madeira (Portugal) and many more.

They both teach Jazz Trumpet and Jazz Piano at Music Conservatories.
