Emily Grabowski is a Senior Director of Digital Marketing at Island Records, a major record label under the Universal Music Group umbrella. Emily leads digital strategy initiatives for Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Shawn Mendes, The Killers, Remi Wolf, Bon Jovi, Jessie Reyez, keshi, Lauren Spencer Smith, Dora Jar, NOTD and The Two Lips, among others.
With over thirteen years of experience in the music industry, Emily has always been laser focused on creating innovative digital marketing campaigns that drive engagement, grow fan communities, and amplify the impact of artists across multiple genres.
In her current role, Emily oversees the creation and execution of integrated digital campaigns spanning social media, content and influencer strategy, CRM, and emerging platforms while also handling all digital partner relations.
Emily began her career in the music industry while attending undergrad at Penn State University, where she worked in the live space doing arena marketing and at a Top 40 radio station.
Before joining the Island team, Emily was previously with Vector Management/Live Nation out of their offices in Nashville, TN. During her time in management, she worked on day-to-day digital marketing across their pop, country and rock genres, with a focus on digital marketing in the live comedy space. While in Nashville, Emily was a board member of SOLID (Society of Leaders in Development), which helps young music industry professionals learn the skills needed to become future executives while also giving back to the Music Row community.
Emily has been recognized as a 2024 HITS Noisemaker and loves discussing the intersection of music, culture and digital strategy, especially as it pertains to pop music. A champion for innovation, Emily is passionate about exploring new technologies — whether that’s experimenting with short-form video trends, working on new partnerships and artist collaborations to unveil new digital platform features, or leveraging fan data to create personalized superfan experiences. She’s also committed to mentoring the next generation of digital marketers, embracing a collaborative team culture that thrives on artist world building and creativity.
Currently based in New York City, Emily enjoys escaping the city to head to the beach in the summer months and fills the rest of the year with as much travel and time spent with her golden retriever as possible.
