Matthew Hearon-Smith is a NYC-based film/tv music supervisor best known for his work on the Sean Baker films Tangerine (Magnolia), The Florida Project (A24) and Red Rocket (A24), the Paramount+ film Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, and the recently released Mack & Rita (Gravitas Premiere). In addition, he has supervised over 150 episodes of TV on the Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Smithsonian, VICELAND, HBO Max and Fusion networks including Big Nate, Noisey, Legendary, "Fuck, That's Delicious!" Black Market with Michael K. Williams and Shade: Queens of NYC. He is a five-time Guild of Music Supervisors Awards nominee, a Hollywood Music in Media Awards nominee for "Best Music Supervision in Film" and was named one of Variety’s "Music Supervisors to Watch" in their 2022 Music for Screens issue. Matthew is a member of the Creative Music Strategy team at Paramount Global (formerly ViacomCBS) focusing on the networks Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Smithsonian Channel and Paramount+.
