With over a decade-long dedication, Rhea has facilitated both startups and large premier organizations alongside creators to cross-culturally develop their narratives and strategically grow their brands. She is a fierce champion for creator rights and co-chairs the Recording Academy’s NY Chapter Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Taskforce which is dedicated to making the organization’s membership, initiatives and its awards more diverse and accessible.
Currently as CMO, Rhea spearheads all communications and consumer brand marketing for Cosynd, a pioneering copyright protection service. She also heads up Cosynd’s advocacy and educational initiatives with its partner network, including the likes of A2IM, the MLC, SoundCloud, Symphonic Distribution, Too Lost, CD Baby and BeatStars among others. By offering a user-friendly toolkit that includes a copyright agreements builder, seamless copyright registration with the U.S. Copyright Office, and a variety of other IP protection services, Cosynd has democratized access to legal protections for thousands of creators and copyright owners from over 120 countries.
Formerly as Global Head of Marketing at Downtown Music Publishing, Rhea oversaw the organization's marketing and communications strategy across all of its international offices and orchestrated strategies that amplified its renowned song copyrights including those by John Lennon, Miles Davis, John Prine and Ryan Tedder among others.
Rhea's impact expands: she energized NY is Music, a coalition dedicated to advancing the importance of music in economic development, culture and education in New York. In 2017, the organization partnered with the NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment to launch New York Music Month, a month-long festival celebrating music’s impact on New York across all five boroughs. In 2018, she helped develop and launch Sound Thinking NYC, a program designed to introduce young women to careers in music production, audio technology and sound recording.
Most recently, Rhea announced the launch of The Drawing Room, a collective she co-founded that is dedicated to connecting, elevating, educating and advocating for South Asian leaders, executives, entrepreneurs and young professionals in the music business.

One common strategy that scammers use is to draft off bigger artists’ success by intentionally mislabeling a track.
