Chief Executive Officer, Luminate
As Chief Executive Officer of Luminate, Rob Jonas is responsible for setting strategy, building an industry leading team, driving expansion and growth and unlocking opportunities across the organization’s shareholders. Luminate is the preeminent entertainment data and insights company, unleashing access to the most essential, objective and trustworthy information across music, film and television, with data compiled from hundreds of verified sources. Operating independently, Luminate is a subsidiary of PME TopCo., a joint venture between Penske Media Corporation and Eldridge.
Prior to this role, Rob spent over 20 years transforming and scaling businesses as an entrepreneurial leader in the tech industry, working on three continents. He most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer at Foursquare, responsible for all sales partnerships, business development and international markets across the company’s complete product portfolio, driving revenue growth through multi-product customer relationships with leading global brands and enterprises. He joined Foursquare through a merger with data pioneer Factual, where he held the same title and was responsible for leading revenue strategy and execution, as well as the company’s international expansion in Europe, Japan and APAC. Previously he ran strategy and operations for the revenue team at PubMatic in a Global CRO role and has an extensive background in the tech industry having worked as the Vice President and Managing Director of EMEA at InMobi, Director of Strategic Partnerships of EMEA at Google, Director of New Business at Yahoo, and Business Development Director at Internet pioneer Overture Services (GoTo.com). He started his career at IBM and was fortunate to spend time with Bill Gross’ idealab! where he worked on some of the most dynamic Internet companies of Web 1.0.
A graduate of Oxford University, he has also completed an executive education program at the Judge Business School, Cambridge University. He is an active advisor and board member in the technology startup community, most recently with Techstars Music in Los Angeles. Originally from London, UK, he now resides in Los Angeles with his wife and dogs.
