Dorothy Carvello began her career in 1987 as secretary to Ahmet Ertegun, the legendary Atlantic Records founder and went on to become the label�s first female A&R executive, signing Skid Row. She worked for many of the biggest names in music�Morris, Azoff, Galante, Buziak, and Ienner�at Atlantic, Giant, RCA, Relativity, and Columbia. After leaving the label scene in 2006, she currently works as public relations consultant for executives and companies in the entertainment industry. Dorothy published her book, Anything for a Hit, in 2018, revealing the underbelly of the music industry and leading the way for the music industry�s own #MeToo movement. The book has been widely praised by notable outlets such as the New York Times, Publishers Weekly, Billboard, and Vanity Fair
