Julia Buchheim is manager of synchronization and business affairs at Rough Trade Publishing and Bank Robber Music. Rough Trade Publishing is home to such artists as Future Islands, The War On Drugs, Beirut, Grizzly Bear, Against Me!, Fugazi, Minor Threat, Animal Collective and The Magnetic Fields. Bank Robber Music is a third party music licensing company specializing in indie rock and represents independent labels such as Mute, Polyvinyl Record Co., Barsuk Records, Thrill Jockey Records and Temporary Residence Ltd. Prior to assuming her role with Rough Trade Publishing and Bank Robber Music, Julia worked in synchronization licensing at ABKCO Music and Records. In addition to her current role, she freelances for the boutique business, entertainment and intellectual property law firm Savur Threadgold LLP. She is a board member of the New York chapter of AIMP (Association of Independent Music Publishers).
