Kelsea Appelbaum has established a career in cannabis recruitment by applying her seven-plus years of team-building experience to the growing industry.

As one of the original team members at Vangst, Kelsea has gained a reputation for being able to identify candidates with exceptional leadership skills, cannabis experience and a proven track record in operating cannabis businesses to match them with companies around the world. By building an international network of candidates and companies, Kelsea continues to contribute to successful partnerships worldwide. She has successfully worked with cannabis companies in 25+ states and five countries while spearheading the retail and compliance recruitment arms of Vangst.

In Kelsea’s current role, Head of Community Partnerships at Vangst, she focuses on educating the cannabis community on building effective teams as well as analyzing industry trends to identify business opportunities. It is Kelsea’s goal to establish candidate/client partnerships that will contribute to the success of the cannabis industry as a whole.
