Lara Supan

Booking Agent, Fleming Artists

Lara started her career in the live music business as a performance artist herself where she managed her own Americana band, South Rail, through many successful regional and national tours. She went on to co-found and launch the crowdsourcing and crowdfunding platform, RoadNation, a site that allows bands to work directly with their fans to pre-fund and plan tours. She moved on from actively working with RoadNation to co-found a boutique booking agency, Mile One, with music industry veteran Fawn Goodman in 2015. In 2019, she joined forces with Jim Fleming at Fleming Artists and currently represents artists for in-person and virtual shows including singer-songwriters such as The Accidentals, The Sweet Water Warblers, Carsie Blanton, Erin McKeown, May Erlewine and others.

Booking Live & Streaming Shows

10/15/20, 4:00 PM

A successful live music booking has always been -- and will always be -- a team effort. With all parties striving for success, any show, tour or event requires foresight, strategy, and determination. In the midst of a worldwide pandemic, our industry is facing anything but business as usual. More now than ever, it takes creativity, stamina and a heightened awareness of safety to move forward. For Mondo 2020, our annual booking panel looks at live performances from various angles: we'll hear from professionals and artists with expertise in booking, talent buying, touring, marketing and PR as they discuss how artists can remain active and engaged, while simultaneously reimagining their new future.
